SI 3 Progress

For my second SI piece I am doing a photograph of Turin sitting and thinking about his life with the outlaws. I tried several close-up angles, but they all looked awkward, so I went with one farther back. I then changed the coloration to be more purple and deepened the shadows to express his dark past. I used the rule of thirds for the placement of Turin, and added a bit of a vignette to create a sense of unity.

AP Art Primary Question

 As of August 27, 2020, I have chosen as my investigation for my AP Portfolio to answer the question: How can I use portrait photography to examine the transcendental themes permeating the “Great Tales of Middle Earth”?
